LAS VEGAS (Aug. 28, 2023) – The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) urges commuters to plan ahead for heavy traffic and delays throughout Labor Day weekend. Additionally, transit riders should note RTC buses will operate on a Sunday schedule on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4.

Travelers are advised to plan for potential heavy traffic on I-15 southbound at the state line between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 4. To plan ahead, travelers can visit SeeingOrangeNV.com or subscribe to the RTC blog for comprehensive weekly traffic and transit impacts for the coming week. Motorists can sign up for traffic alerts on the RTC website to access the most up-to-date traffic information.

The RTC offers 39 transit routes to connect riders to destinations throughout the community, and customers can plan trips and purchase passes through the RTC’s free rideRTC app. The RTC recommends that before heading to their stop, transit riders visit the Alerts and Detours page for current rider alerts, detours and bus stop closures.

For those flying this holiday weekend, the RTC offers free parking at the Centennial Hills Transit Center or the South Strip Transit Terminal with direct transit service to Harry Reid International Airport, Terminal 1 via the Centennial Express (CX) or Route 109 Maryland Parkway and to Terminal 3 via the CX.
