LAS VEGAS – The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) wants to make sure everyone stays safe on the road during the expected cold temperatures tonight and tomorrow. Transit customers should prepare for delays that can be common during traffic disruptions due to weather.
Members of Southern Nevada’s traffic management center will be closely monitoring traffic conditions and adjusting traffic signals as necessary to keep traffic flowing. Crews will also be updating the dynamic message signs (DMS) on the freeways and sending out traffic alerts to inform the public about any changes.
The RTC urges drivers to follow @RTCSNV on Twitter or subscribe to traffic alerts via email or text at rtcsnv.com to stay current with the latest traffic situations. Travelers also are encouraged to download Waze, a free traffic navigation smartphone app, to get real-time traffic and road information.
