During trying times, instant alerts straight to your mobile phone and online are making riding public transit a whole lot easier. The RTC has released a new real-time detour alert notification system that allows transit riders to receive information about their routes and transit stops, as they happen. Alerts include closed bus stops, route detours, impacts to services due to special events or construction, and other issues that may impact service.

Customers have the option to choose how they want to receive the alerts. All detour alerts are available online, via email, text message, RTC Twitter , Google Maps and on the Transit App. If you subscribe for text messages please note that your mobile provider’s standard rates for receiving text messages still apply.
