Did you make a New Year’s resolution to get more exercise and potentially shed a few pounds? It’s no wonder why – we could all be a healthier version of ourselves with some effort. But just how much effort?

Small changes can add up to big results! You can fit in more exercise simply by changing the way you travel one day a week – or even one day a month.

  1. Spin, spin away – Do you live or work near downtown Las Vegas? Hop on an RTC Bike Share bike to grab a bite to eat on your lunch break. Or take your own bike for a spin on more than 550 miles of bike lanes in our region. Check out our Bike Map for bike and walking trails.
  2. Take transit – Walk to your nearest stop and take the bus to work or school. Let someone else do the driving while you study or relax with a book. Download the rideRTC app to plan and pay for your trip, or simply tap your credit card when you board for only $2 per trip. RTC has 39 routes that span the valley, and many include park-and-ride options, such as at the Centennial Hills Transit Center and the South Strip Transit Terminal.
  3. Ditch the car, bus or bike and walk – Running an errand down the street? There’s no better exercise than getting out on your own two feet.
