Celebrate the red, white and blue using RTC transit!

U.S. of Yay! It’s time to celebrate America’s birthday on July 4 and RTC transit can help get you there. As usual, Las Vegas is planning plenty of free family fun and fireworks throughout the valley.

If you want to stay close to home, consider visiting one of six Station Casino locations offering fireworks at 9 p.m. Visit the Station Casino blog for locations and Independence Day specials.

Participating locations include:* Green Valley Ranch via routes 111 and 221
* Sunset Station via routes 115, 212, and 217
* Red Rock via routes 206 and SX
* Palace Station via routes 119 and SX
* Boulder Station via routes 203, BHX, and SX
* Santa Fe Station via routes 101, 106, and 219

Many neighborhood celebrations return this year including Henderson’s annual celebration at Heritage Park. The free event offers live entertainment and family fun followed by fireworks at 9 p.m. Route 217 will get you to all the festivities. Take route 221 to check out the 74th annual Boulder City Damboree offering a full day of fun including a parade at 9 a.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m. Route 210 will take you to Summerlin where you can enjoy the annual Summerlin Patriotic Parade beginning at 9 a.m.

If you’re ready to hit the town, there’s plenty of patriotic festivities downtown. Fremont Street Experience will kick off the evening at 6 p.m. with a free concert featuring legendary rockers Molly Hatchet. The Plaza Hotel & Casino, located at the end of the Fremont Street Experience, will cap off the evening with their annual fireworks at 9 p.m. Numerous transit routes will get you downtown including the Deuce, CX, BHX, DVX, 113, and 215.
