Today, the RTC and its transit contractors Keolis and MV Transportation joined public transit agencies across the nation to honor heroic transportation workers by all simultaneously sounding the bus horns.

All RTC buses gave two 1-second horn blasts at 12 p.m. in solidarity with agencies nationwide, serving as a tribute to those on the front lines of the public health crisis.

Heroic transportation workers continue to provide critical service for healthcare workers, first responders, childcare workers, grocery store employees and other heroes who are performing critically essential work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The RTC had more than 300 vehicles across the valley that performed this tribute, including both fixed route and paratransit buses. Drivers across the valley were invited to join the transit operators as they sounded their horns.

Thank you to our transit drivers, first responders, healthcare professionals and all essential workers for keeping our community moving.
