LAS VEGAS – On the heels of a successful Bike Month in May, supported by the valley’s growing number of people on bikes, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) announces Biketoberfest, a month-long celebration of cycling throughout the month of October that also marks the seventh anniversary of the RTC’s Bike Share program.

Together with the Southern Nevada Bicycle Coalition and Bicycle Transit Systems, Biketoberfest will feature various activities and cycling fun for all ages and abilities.

At the RTC, we are focused on safe transportation for all modes of travel. As the weather cools, we’re excited to share a month of events and activities to get our community out on their bicycles,” said RTC CEO MJ Maynard.

To encourage our community to join the month-long celebration and hop on two wheels, the RTC is offering FREE 30-day Explorer passes for RTC Bike Share. Users can try Bike Share in October for no cost by signing up anytime through October 31. The pass is good for 30 days once activated. To take advantage of this offer, visit bikeshare.rtcsnv.com and enter promo code BIKESHARE7 at check-out.
