Service animals can hold many jobs to support their owners, from guiding people who are blind to alerting and protecting someone having a seizure and many more. These service animals are invaluable to the independence and quality of life of the people that have them.
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is proud to welcome service animals aboard all our buses at no additional cost to our customers. As service animals help improve overall transportation equity and access, they play a key role in connecting our Southern Nevada community with work, school, healthcare and more.
Below are some of the rules for bringing an animal on the bus:
- They must sit on the floor or on the passenger’s lap, not in their own seat.
- Animals may not be disruptive on board our buses.
- The RTC does not allow the transport of deceased animals.
