Did you know that more than 100,000 Americans need a lifesaving organ transplant – including nearly 600 Nevadans? Did you also know that with your help, we can END THE WAIT for those waiting for a second chance at life?
During National Donate Life Month this April, we have an opportunity to bring awareness to the lifesaving and healing gift of donation and encourage more Nevadans like you to say “YES’’ to becoming an organ, eye, and tissue donor. One heroic donor can make the gift of life possible for 8 people through organ donation; the gift of healing for 75 people through tissue donation; and the gift of sight for 2 people through cornea donation.
Registration is easy – simply check ‘YES’ to organ donation at your nearest DMV office, or register online at www.registerme.org. Have an iPhone? You can quickly register through your Health app.
There are other ways to support Nevada Donor Network’s mission throughout April, including joining our virtual “Hope Glows” Fun Run/Walk. We’ve also partnered with a few local businesses to host an ICON fundraiser, where customers can purchase an anatomical heart for $1, $2, or $5.
