For the second year in a row the Southern Nevada Bicycle Coalition (SNVBC) is promoting the Change Lanes for Bikes. It’s the Law campaign to educate motorists about Nevada’s 3 Feet/Move Over passing law (NRS 484B.270). You may have already seen the billboards around the valley reminding drivers to give a lane to bicyclists when passing.

SNVBC is also proud to partner with the Clark County School District Police, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and other local forces to put on a 3 Feet/Move over law enforcement event later this month. During this event, police will be on the lookout for motorists who are not following the law and handing out tickets to drivers failing to comply.

The campaign started last year because five of our friends were struck from behind by a box truck and killed. And unfortunately, these were not the only bicyclist deaths that year. Our goal is zero collisions. Zero collisions mean zero injuries and no more friends and loved ones being killed. Help us get there by telling your friends and sharing on social media.
