Where to See Spring Flowers in Southern Nevada

Late March to early May marks a peak

 season for blooming desert wildflowers in Southern Nevada. Here are a few places to experience the dazzling colors of natures’ springtime wonders.

Springs Preserve

You can experience nature’s springtime in all its glory at the Springs Preserve’s Botanical Gardens including the Mojave Collections grown from wild seed, taken from cuttings. While you’re there be sure to check out the Rose Garden. Jump on RTC routes 104 (Valley View) or 207 (Alta/Stewart) to get to the Springs Preserve.

Bellagio Conservatory

If the indoors are more to your liking, spring has sprung at the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens where this magnificent display features a Springtime exhibit through May 14. The RTC Deuce route will take you to the Bellagio.

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area

Generally blooming from mid-April through mid-May, Red Rock Canyon’s 13-mile driving loop is the place to take in blooming cactus flowers showing off their bright orange, yellow and purple spring colors.  According to the Red Rock Canyon website, common areas for best viewing are Ricardo Nature Trail in Ricardo Campground and Visitor Center Parking area and Hagen Canyon, just southeast of Visitor Center.  Get to Red Rock Canyon on two wheels for an exhilarating experience.  Check out our Bike Brochure for tips and maps!
