How to ride

Step 1: Download the rideRTC app

You can find rideRTC on the App Store and Google Play. Create a free account with your email address. You can use rideRTC to buy passes and plan your trip.

Step 2: Plan your trip

In the rideRTC app, tap on “My Bus – Transit App.” You’ll be prompted to download the Transit app, which will help find the quickest routes. You can also click the buttons below to download the Transit app. Type in your destination, get directions and head to the appropriate bus stop to wait for your ride.


Step 3: Buy your pass

Enjoy the convenience of purchasing your 2-hour, 24-hour, 7-day, 15-day or 30-day pass in the rideRTC app. Pull up your pass and make sure you’re ready to scan your phone when you board the bus.

Step 4: Board the vehicle

Make sure you are visible to the driver. When the bus arrives, be sure to check the vehicle header sign for the route number and direction you desire. Be sure to hold onto handrails as you find a seat. The bus may begin to move before you sit down.

Step 5: Enjoy your ride

Have a seat. Enjoy the RTC’s free WiFi. Be mindful so you don’t miss your stop. To help, the rideRTC app will alert you when the bus is approaching your stop. One block before your stop, signal the driver to let you off by pushing the button located on the standee pole, next to the seats. Before exiting the bus, look around your area to make sure you don’t leave anything behind.
