Tropicana Route
The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is making safety and roadway improvements to East Tropicana Avenue, from Maryland Parkway to Boulder Highway. The project is expected to end in 2021. Throughout the construction, the RTC is working to maintain 24-hour service along the Tropicana route to meet your needs. Bus service will also maintain frequent service for your convenience with buses operating every 15 minutes.
The RTC is working closely with NDOT to provide construction updates as they become available. Construction in the following work segments is underway: Spencer Street to Eastern Avenue, Sandhill Road to US 95, and Nellis Boulevard to Boulder Highway. Details about the construction are below.
For the area from Maryland Parkway to Tamarus Street:
- Activities timeframe: Jan/Feb 2020
- Media island cub removals and utility manhole lowering on eastbound and westbound lanes.
- Multiple lane closures with some daytime and nighttime restrictions.
