Paratransit complimentary ride

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is committed to keeping our community healthy and moving. As COVID-19 vaccinations become available to more populations, we are offering complimentary paratransit rides to our certified paratransit customers who have scheduled a vaccine appointment.

To book a trip to a COVID-19 vaccination site, call customer care at 702-228-4800 during regular business hours.  Customers must show their vaccination appointment confirmation as proof of fare when they board.

Southern Nevada Health District Partnership: Transportation for Seniors

SNHD EmployeesThanks to federal stimulus funding, the RTC is excited to be working with the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) in an effort to reach senior citizens throughout our community who may need assistance accessing COVID-19 vaccination sites.

While this is a brand new endeavor with final logistics in development, we are hopeful that this will help some of our most vulnerable residents here in Southern Nevada. The program is designed to have RTC transit vehicles pick up senior citizens at a centralized location nearby their home and take them to an SNHD vaccination site. Upon arrival at the vaccination site, seniors will remain on board the vehicle, where vaccinators will board and administer the vaccine. Passengers will stay on the bus throughout their 15-minute observation period, and then return to their pickup location once completed.

At this time, SNHD is making contact with senior centers, community groups and other organizations to find those in need of transportation assistance to COVID-19 vaccination locations. Dates, times and locations are provided to the RTC to determine the number of vehicles needed to allow for safe social distancing on 40-foot and 60-foot public transit buses.
