If you do not have a data plan or a smartphone we recommend you use our text message feature or call our automated phone system to get the estimated arrival times at your bus stop.
Yes! The RTC offers free Wi-Fi at all of our transit centers and while on board on our buses.
Connect to “RTC Public Wi-Fi” at the transit centers and “RTC transit Public Wi-Fi” while on board to connect to the complimentary Wi-Fi. Just remember that you will be required to accept the terms and conditions once every 24 hours while using the Wi-Fi.
The small wave symbol located above your arrival time represents the estimated arrival time for your bus. The image below shows an example of the next three estimated Sahara Express (SX) vehicles at that stop. If you do not see the wave symbol above the time, you are seeing a scheduled bus time.
For example, this is how a scheduled time will be shown on the app. Scheduled times are represented in a darker color and do not have the wave symbol located above them. It is recommended that you check back every 2-3 minutes until an estimated time becomes available.
First, check your mobile device to make sure it is not in airplane mode, check to make sure your device is connected to the internet or your cellular network. Try to use a Wi-Fi connection if available, don’t forget the RTC offers free public Wi-Fi at all our transit terminals and on board.
If you do use the RTC Public Wi-Fi, make sure you accept the terms and conditions after connecting you only need to do this once every 24 hours. If all else fails, try turning your phone off and back on again so it can try and make another connection to the internet.
Unfortunately, there are circumstances in which a scheduled bus may not arrive at your stop. On occasion a bus may unexpectedly break down due to a mechanical issue, may need to report back to the bus yard due to unforeseen circumstances, or the trip was canceled and not yet reported.
Should you find that a specific bus continually does not show repeatedly, please call us immediately, at 702-228-RIDE and report it to a customer care agent.
We recommend you re-check your estimated arrival time every few minutes to ensure you receive the most up-to-date information. Sometimes traffic can delay a bus or longer than usual boarding times at a stop before you can make the estimated arrival time change. It's important to check up on your bus while you wait.
There may be times when an unscheduled bus arrives at your stop. This is due to the RTC adding additional service on a route to help provide better service during busy times. Unfortunately, that additional service is not available to be displayed within the app and a bus will show up at your stop unexpectedly.
