We at the RTC want to extend a big thank you to the more than 4,300 Southern Nevadans who have participated in the Let’s Go 2050 campaign so far!

What is Let’s Go 2050?

Let’s Go 2050 is our long-term master transportation plan. It includes projects like:

  • Pedestrian and bicycle improvements
  • Upgrades to our transit system
  • Roadway widening
  • Highway improvements

Your Voices Were Heard

From February 15 to March 31, 2024, we held a virtual public meeting to gather input from the community. During this period, our engagement campaign reached over 121,000 people through social media, emails, our website, and more than 20 in-person events. Here's what you had to say:

Prioritizing Safety and Public Transit

  1. Reducing Traffic Congestion:
    • Top Choice: Investing in more alternatives to driving, like public transit and biking.
    • Second Choice: Improving traffic signals.
    • Least Preferred: Adding more driving lanes.
  2. Roadway Improvements:
    • Most respondents supported a “complete streets” approach. This means creating more space for all road users who walk, bike, take transit or drive.
  3. Travel Improvements:
    • The most wanted changes were more frequent and faster bus services, along with high-capacity transit options.
