The Nellis Air Force Base (AFB) Transportation Study team recently hit the streets for a walk audit, checking out how to make Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas Boulevard North, Tropical Parkway and Craig Road easier to walk or roll. During the walk audit, our team noticed some key issues like narrow sidewalks, poor lighting, and missing curb ramps, which can make getting around difficult for people walking, riding a bike, or taking the bus. The team also noted areas where more crosswalks and shaded bus stops would make a big difference.
Now, we need your input! We’ve drafted some potential solutions to the problems we encountered and ones you told us about last fall. We’re moving into the next phase of the study and want your feedback. Take the survey between now and November 7 to share your thoughts on the plans to be entered for a chance to win exciting prizes like weekly $25 Visa gift cards and the grand prize of Vegas Golden Knights game tickets!
