As another United for Infrastructure (UFI) Week comes to a close, we reflect on our community’s efforts to emphasize education and advocacy and raise awareness for Southern Nevada’s needs as we #LeadWithInfrastructure.
In case you missed it:
We continue to stress the necessity of infrastructure in Southern Nevada. As the nation focuses on rebuilding following the COVID-19 pandemic, it is vital to elevate the need for critical infrastructure projects within the community that will supply jobs, resources and growth to the region. We encourage you to read a guest column in the Nevada Independent, published today, May 13, co-authored by Henderson Mayor and RTC Chairwoman Debra March and RTC Vice-Chair Clark County Commissioner Justin Jones. The story is available at: https://thenevadaindependent.com/article/building-back-better-for-infrastructure-week
United for Infrastructure Equity Panel
RTC Deputy CEO, David Swallow joined a panel of industry thought leaders who explore how infrastructure providers are building equity solutions into their organizations’ capital plans, planning, services and staffing to better serve their communities. Watch the, “Make it for Everyone: Infrastructure, Equity, and Opportunity” panel on: https://vimeo.com/548310290
Think you know infrastructure?
The RTC wants to test your knowledge through an interactive quiz! Put your skills to the test and take the Buzzfeed quiz on local and international infrastructure at: https://www.buzzfeed.com/rtcsnv1/infrastructure-week-trivia-6u2kim4xjg
The conversation continues…
Infrastructure should not only be recognized during UFI, but we need to continue to share its importance with Southern Nevadans throughout the entire year. Stay tuned for a Tri-Chamber event later this month, where community leaders will talk about local infrastructure projects within the community. Follow us of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates and more information on the panel.
