K.O. Knudson Middle School students in the Las Vegas Valley have been hard at work developing solutions to current problems facing the community.

Recently, the school presented to the RTC’s Bus Shelter and Bench Advisory Committee on a project to develop an alternative solution to steel bus benches to help solve for heat safety issues that our riders struggle with during the hot summer months.

The students have submitted the project to the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Challenge and have been named one of 10 national finalists for a chance to win $50,000!

The RTC is asking our community to support K.O Knudson Middle School students and cast your vote for their incredible steel bus bench solution!

To watch the school’s video submission detailing their journey to creating an innovative seating solution, and to vote for the team in the challenge, visit https://www.samsung.com/us/solvefortomorrow/

On behalf of the RTC, we are thrilled to support these future engineers and invite you to join us and VOTE!
