Got big plans this weekend? Whether you’re traveling by car, plane or public transit, we want to remind you of the potential delays so you can plan to avoid the bottlenecking back-ups!
DRIVE
The Southern Nevada Traffic Management Center predicts potential delays and lane reductions for those traveling southbound along I-15 south of Nipton Road in California due to emergency bridge repairs over Labor Day weekend. Travelers can use an alternative route to California by taking the US-95 southbound to the I-40 west and into Barstow. Travelers can expect the heaviest traffic on Labor Day and are advised to avoid traveling until Tuesday.
RIDE TRANSIT
If you’re taking transit this holiday weekend, the RTC will operate its transit service on a Sunday schedule on Monday, Sept. 5, in observance of Labor Day.
We encourage you to download the rideRTC app, text RideRTC and your bus stop number to 41411, or call 702-228-RIDE (7433) to get the most accurate information on bus arrival times. Riders can also subscribe to text and email alerts through the RTC website to stay informed on any route delays or changes.
FLY
For those flying over the holiday weekend, free parking is available at the Centennial Hills Transit Center or the South Strip Transit Terminal, with direct access to Harry Reid International Airport’s Ground Level Zero at Terminal 1 via the Centennial Express (CX) or Route 109 Maryland Parkway.
