The RTC joined Mariana’s Supermarket for its biggest holiday celebration of the year. The local grocery chain and RTC ‘Get Connected’ partner turned its parking lot at its US-95 and Jones Boulevard store into festival grounds. Hundreds of families spent Dec. 15 celebrating Las Posadas, a holiday tradition celebrated in several Latin American countries.
The large turnout at the annual event might have something to do with Mariana’s raffling off a car but also with the RTC being present, handing out fun prizes and helpful transportation information. I guess we will never know.
Families got in on cool giveaways after playing a game of Plinko and learning about our Get Connected campaign, offering exclusive deals to transit riders. Mariana’s Supermarkets is one of our 11 community partners offering discounts and free items with purchase.
