On Tuesday, the RTC was honored to host representatives from the U.S. Department of Transportation. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Intergovernmental Affairs Charles Small and Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy Chris Coes toured innovative advancements in transportation and mobility across the valley, including the Southern Nevada Traffic Management Center that keeps traffic flowing as smoothly as possible on the region’s freeway and road networks.
After the tour, we gathered the best minds in local government and private industry for a roundtable discussion to identify key opportunities and concerns for the future of mobility in Southern Nevada.
Small and Coes shared insight on federal grant funding, and we showed them how we are using federal dollars to improve the lives of our residents and visitors, such as our first hydrogen fuel cell electric bus that will hit the streets soon. More to come!
