Our transit workers are the ultimate superheroes. Whether it be drivers operating our buses, security officers protecting our customers, mechanics ensuring our vehicles are running in tip-top shape or cleaning crews keeping our vehicles and transit centers squeaky clean, they are united as a team with one common goal: To keep Southern Nevada moving safely and efficiently… no matter the challenge.
Their dedication and commitment to their craft has been especially evident throughout the pandemic. While many are able to work from home, transit workers report to the frontlines every day to get us to the grocery store, to work, to medical appointments and other essential destinations.
In true superhero fashion, we surprised a few of our amazing RTC and contracted staff with a cape and commemorative certificate.
Transit Worker Appreciation Day may be celebrated on March 18 of every year, but there isn’t a wrong day or time to say thank you to those who keep the wheels rolling on public transportation in Southern Nevada.
