LAS VEGAS – The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is helping the community get back to work with its Try Transit program, offering two complimentary, seven-day passes for those recently hired or returning to work. Beginning Monday, May 3, printed passes will be disseminated to local businesses for their employees to take advantage of safe and reliable transit service.
“We recognize the impact the pandemic has had on our city, shuttering businesses and causing many to lose their jobs over the last year,” said M.J. Maynard, RTC chief executive officer. “As Southern Nevada prepares to fully re-open, we continue to pledge our commitment to the community by providing our workforce the opportunity to try transit for free.
The two free, seven-day passes will be administered through the RTC’s Club Ride program. Businesses interested in participating in the RTC’s Try Transit program can connect with Club Ride at (702)228-7433, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Employees interested in taking advantage of 14 days of free rides can contact their human resources department for more details.
Riders are also encouraged to download the rideRTC app to plan their trip and purchase additional passes. New users who download the rideRTC app will also receive a bonus, complimentary three-day transit pass.
