Residents living in senior facilities continue to need transportation to get the goods and services required to live productive lives. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it is more important than ever that they have reliable transportation.
The Silver STAR service is open to the entire community, but was designed with senior citizens in mind. The service offers looped routes, picking up at senior living communities and making stops at various shopping areas around the valley.
The RTC has temporarily implemented earlier hours and more pick-up locations on all its Silver STAR routes, so seniors can take advantage of dedicated shopping hours for the elderly and those with underlying medical conditions at various stores.
