RTC buses to follow Sunday schedule on Monday, September 2
LAS VEGAS (Aug. 22, 2024) – The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) urges commuters to plan ahead for heavy traffic and delays throughout Labor Day weekend. Additionally, transit riders should note RTC buses will operate on a Sunday schedule on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2.
Travelers are advised to plan for potential heavy traffic on I-15 southbound at the state line between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2. To plan ahead, travelers can visit SeeingOrangeNV.com or subscribe to the RTC blog for comprehensive weekly traffic and transit impacts for the coming week. Motorists can sign up for traffic alerts on the RTC website to access the most up-to-date traffic information.
The RTC provides 39 transit routes to connect riders to destinations throughout the community. Customers can plan trips and purchase passes using the RTC’s free rideRTC app. For added convenience, the RTC Tap & GO feature allows you to purchase single-ride fares directly in the app. Simply add funds using a credit or debit card or at a Cash To Mobile location, then scan the barcode on the app when boarding to pay your fare. Alternatively, customers can Tap & Go with their debit or credit card directly on the bus, so there's no need to load funds or link cards on the app.
We recommend checking the Alerts and Detours page for current updates on rider alerts, detours, and bus stop closures before heading out.
Traveling this holiday weekend? The RTC offers free parking at the Centennial Hills Transit Center and the South Strip Transit Terminal, with direct service to Harry Reid International Airport. Use the Centennial Express (CX), Route 109 Maryland Parkway, or Route 108 Paradise to access Terminal 1. The CX also serves Terminal 3.
