LAS VEGAS – The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is partnering with its contractors Keolis, MV Transportation and Marksman Security to actively recruit more drivers and security officers in response to a workforce shortage.

“These positions are essential to keeping Southern Nevada moving and getting customers safely to work, school, medical appointments and other vital services,” said MJ Maynard, RTC chief executive officer. “We are thankful for our current workers but have open positions to fill in order to provide the level of service that our community expects.”

All three companies are offering attractive incentives for candidates, from sign-on bonuses up to $2,000, to paid training and excellent benefit programs. Those who are interested can apply at keolisnorthamerica.commvtransit.com or marksmansecurity.com

Currently, the number of transit and paratransit drivers and security officers in the workforce is approximately 1,700 positions, with more than approximately 180 vacant positions that the contractors are looking to fill immediately. Due to these shortages, transit riders may experience service delays along their commute and are encouraged to plan for extra travel time. As riders map out their trips, the RTC urges customers to subscribe to text and email alerts through the RTC website, and download the rideRTC app to get real-time alerts and stay informed on any route delays or changes. The RTC is committed to communicating all service delays in a timely manner so customers can better plan their trips around the valley.
