Riders should plan for holiday transit schedules and traffic detours
(Las Vegas, NV) – The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is offering free rides on all transit routes on New Year’s Eve to ensure a safe travel option for locals and visitors celebrating the holiday. From 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31 (New Year’s Eve) through 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan.1 (New Year’s Day), transit riders can board any RTC bus route without purchasing a pass or presenting fare.
The RTC offers complimentary park-and-ride facilities throughout the valley, providing convenient access to transit options. Parking spots are on a first-come, first-served basis at all park-and-ride sites.
SERVICE DETAILS:
Riders are advised to plan for significant transit detours on New Year’s Eve using the rideRTC transit app, which provides real-time information about bus locations and arrival times. For details, visit rtcsnv.com/newyears.
