Attention all Southern Nevadans 60-years and over! Did you know you qualify for reduced fare?

Attendees of the Henderson Senior Summit this week learned all about it. In fact, the RTC was on hand issuing reduced fare ID cards. A total of 85 seniors were signed up and will now be able to ride public transit at a discounted rate. The RTC also had a bus on site so they can familiarize themselves with our vehicles.

The summit welcomed over 100 people from the community to discuss transportation matters. RTC’s Dan Howland, Director of Paratransit and Specialized Services, served as a panelist and provided information about our services.

Seniors are not the only ones who qualify for reduced fare, so do veterans, children 17-years-old and younger, persons with disabilities, Medicare eligible persons, and Mobility Trained customers.

Just visit the Bonneville Transit Center located at 101 E. Bonneville Avenue to sign up for the program. Don’t forget to bring an approved form of identification in order to apply.
