LAS VEGAS – In advance of the long President’s Day holiday weekend and to better serve customers, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is extending the lobby hours of one of its busiest park & ride facilities. Beginning Friday, Feb. 15, the lobby of the South Strip Transit Terminal (SSTT) near McCarran International Airport will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The extended lobby hours ensure customers have a comfortable waiting area and access to RTC ticket vending machines. Previously only open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., the SSTT is the hub for seven of RTC’s 39 routes, as well as select charter bus services. It allows transit commuters in the southern portion of the valley to connect with frequent transit service – the Strip & Downtown Express – to access the Resort Corridor.

The SSTT is also a popular option for travelers using McCarran International Airport, so the new hours will be helpful to those departing on red-eye flights or experiencing unforeseen delays upon arrival. The SSTT is conveniently located just 15 minutes south of the airport and parking in the SSTT park & ride lot is free. The SSTT is located at 6675 Gilespie St., at the corner of Sunset Road and Gilespie Street.

For the upcoming Presidents’ Day holiday on Monday, Feb. 18, the RTC reminds riders that it will operate its fixed route transit system on a Saturday schedule.
