RTC Bike Share electrifies downtown with more e-bikes, courtesy of NV Energy

RTC Bike Share just got a little greener! Since we’ve had such an overwhelming response for the bike share program over the past several months, we added six more electric bikes this week, thanks to a sponsorship with NV Energy.

The state mandated shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the last several months created an overwhelming demand for the bike share program. Ridership jumped 97 percent compared to the same time last year, and the system experienced the most check-outs ever, with an average of more than a thousand rides per day in May 2020.

There are 21 stations throughout downtown, so you can even drive in, park nearby and take a bike for a ride. One of our newest station locations includes shareDOWNTOWN apartments in the heart of the Arts District, which provides easier access for our downtown residents to move around.

If you’re looking for another reason to try it, users can take advantage of our summer promo until August 31, 2020. We are offering a 30-day pass for only $5 – normally the price of a 24-hour pass.
