To celebrate Valentine’s Day and share our love for our riders, the RTC held a series of transit appreciation events this week at popular transit centers and bus stops across the valley.
It wouldn’t be nice to show up empty handed so we teamed up with local shops to provide delicious treats to riders. A huge thank you to our Rider Appreciation Week partners:
- Sweet treats from a popup funnel cake party courtesy of Braud’s Funnel Cake Café
- Be Mine Breakfast with a taste of Southern hospitality from Gritz Café
- Romantic dinner date giveaways from Bootlegger Italian Bistro
- Special deliveries from Marsigliano’s Pizzeria
At the events, customers provided their feedback on the future of mobility in Southern Nevada via the RTC’s On Board survey. Didn’t get a chance to take the survey this week? No problem! To take the On Board survey online by visiting OnBoardSNV.com and be entered to win Vegas Golden Knights tickets. Also, check out the recent Las Vegas Review-Journal article on On Board.
And do you know what made our heart skip a beat? That we have so many more riders to thank this year!
Residential ridership in Southern Nevada has increased 3.1 percent, totaling 54.5 million trips taken in 2019. In fact, RTC residential ridership increased by more than five percent on 14 residential routes, which equals more than one-third of the RTC’s transit system! These increases are despite recent trends of declining ridership in other parts of the country.
We appreciate all of our riders and look forward to welcoming even more this year. Thank you for riding and happy Valentine’s Day!
