Red Light, Green Light, Go! What you didn’t know about everyone’s favorite traffic light

August 5 is International Traffic Light Day! Before we even had automobiles on the road in 1866 a London inventor, J.P. Knight, created the first gas-powered traffic light.  It ended up blowing up and was later removed. Fast forward 46 years and a police officer in Salt Lake City reintroduced it in the electric form. What about the caution yellow light?
