Proposed Service Changes: Time is running out to make your opinion count

We are over halfway through our 60-day public comment period for the proposed service changes that may impact you. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the RTC transit system is experiencing a severe drop in funding. To adjust for this loss in revenue, we are considering making system-wide service changes in fall 2020.

Right now, the service changes include eliminating four routes, adjusting five, and decreasing the frequency of one. The remaining of our overall 39 routes will see minor changes or no changes at all. It’s important to note the service area, in itself, will not shrink.

Before making any final decisions, we want to hear from you! The public comment period underway wraps up Friday, Aug. 28. We’ve already hosted four public meetings, two virtual and two in person, and have received more than 3,300 survey responses.

If you missed the meetings; you can catch the YouTube meeting here.

Make sure to visit rtcsnv.com to review the proposed service changes and fill out a quick survey so we learn more about the direct impact our decisions will have on the community we serve.
