For transit customers who prefer to purchase their passes with cash but would rather have less contact with the farebox because of COVID-19 – we have good news for you!

The RTC has added a new feature to our smartphone app, rideRTC, allowing you to load cash onto your rideRTC account in three simple steps:

  1. Visit a participating retail store. There are nearly 350 vendors across the Las Vegas Valley. Stores include 7-Eleven, CVS, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Pilot Travel Centers, Speedway SSA and Walgreens.
  2. Have the cashier scan your barcode and tell the cashier the amount you would like to load to your account. You can load between $5 to $100 during any single transaction, and there is no limit to your account balance.
  3. Pay the transaction and take your receipt. The funds will be available in your account shortly.

Then, purchase and store your transit pass in rideRTC. When it’s time to ride, scan your pass when you board the bus. It’s quick, convenient and contactless, and just another way the RTC is making your ride safer.

Download the rideRTC app from the App Store or Google Play. It’s that easy. Plan, buy (with cash!), go.
