This week, On the Road is visiting the city of Henderson, which recently invested approximately $3.4 million dollars on roadway improvements along Nevada State Drive.
This project widened Nevada State Drive to two travel lanes in each direction between Compassion Drive and Paradise Hills Drive and converted the Nevada State Drive/Paradise Hills Drive intersection into a roundabout to limit congestion.
“The improvements to Nevada State Drive will ensure that students, faculty and visitors to Nevada State College, our state’s fastest growing higher education institution, are able to efficiently access school facilities and avoid unnecessary delays,” said Debra March, mayor of the City of Henderson and RTC chairwoman.
This project wrapped up in December 2021. Additional project elements included a new storm drain, sidewalk rehabilitation, LED street lighting, FAST ITS conduit, street signage, and striping throughout.
