LAS VEGAS – The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) is transitioning the RTC Bike Share program to a completely online and mobile pass purchase system.

Starting today, RTC Bike Share passes can be purchased online or by downloading the BCycle app in the App Store or Google Play.

“In an effort to create less touch-points, especially during this time, we want to enhance the bike share system for our riders by providing additional digital features to give them real-time information and increase safety,” said RTC Deputy CEO David Swallow. “While we continue to fight this pandemic, people can still enjoy the fun of getting outside on a bicycle in a safe and socially distanced way, especially as the weather cools down.”

By downloading the BCycle app, riders can purchase passes directly from their phone, view real-time bike availability at each station, including e-bikes, and unlock bikes directly from the dock. The credit card features will no longer be available at kiosks. Users without a smartphone can still check out a bike by calling Customer Service at 1-844-641-7823 to purchase their pass by phone.

Locals can take advantage of a great deal through a partnership with Downtown Vegas Alliance to try RTC Bike Share for 50 percent off 24-hour passes for the first 100 new customers until December 15.
