The 42nd Annual King Week Las Vegas Celebration, with the theme “Living the Dream: Together We Make the Dream Work,” pays tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the esteemed Nobel Peace Prize laureate and revered symbol of the Civil Rights movement. Commemorated on his actual birthday, January 15, the official national Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday serves as a reminder of his profound impact. Las Vegas honors Dr. King through a week-long series of events, including a vibrant parade held in downtown Las Vegas.
Wendell P. Williams, president of The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Committee Las Vegas, expressed gratitude towards the RTC for their commendable efforts in promoting environmental justice in Southern Nevada. The inclusion of hydrogen fuel cell electric buses, battery electric buses, and electric bikes in their bus and bike share fleet exemplifies the RTC's commitment to a sustainable future.
We were thrilled to show off our zero-emission vehicles and bikes during the celebration. Watch this video to see how much fun the RTC had during the parade!
