Don’t miss Governor Sisolak’s JobFest on December 7, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall, 3150 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, 89109.
More than 150 employers are expected to hire for 15,000+ job openings. Dust off your resume and dress to impress, as many will be hiring on the spot.
“Every day, more employers are signing up to join our JobFest – they are ready to help us put Nevadans to work. There is no priority more important for me than Nevada’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Governor Steve Sisolak.
Nevada leads the nation in hiring, and there are thousands of open jobs in Southern Nevada, according to federal statistics analyzed by the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR).
Because some job sectors are slower to return to full staff than others, now is the time for Nevadans to “Skill Up” to a new career. With partners across the state, there will be many ways to learn about financial assistance.
“Clark County has the highest unemployment rate in the state, and we’re ensuring that job seekers can find employment that works for their family and lifestyle according to DETR Director Elisa Cafferata.
Nevada JobConnect staff and other agencies will be on hand to assist job seekers with resumes, their job searches, and access to additional no-cost employment help. COVID-19 vaccines and flu shots will also be available.
“The availability of jobs is a true indication that Nevada’s economy is rebounding,” said the Governor’s Office of Economic Development Executive Director Michael Brown.
