After a two-year hiatus, the Las Vegas Rock ‘N’ Roll Running Series returns to Las Vegas this weekend! Offering a half marathon, as well as 5K and 10K courses, the event is the ultimate party where thousands have the opportunity to race and walk under the glittering lights of the Las Vegas Strip.
If you’re not up for a long-distance stroll or run, don’t fret. There’s still plenty of ways to join in the fun. In its new location at Resorts World, the Health & Fitness Expo is free and open to the public through Sunday. The expo features the latest in running technologies, fitness apparel, health & nutrition information and interactive displays.
In addition to music and entertainment along the courses, the event will feature a one-of-a-kind concert experience on Saturday evening for registered participants and their plus one. The Symphonic Rockshow includes a full rock band and orchestra that provides a two-hour journey through rock’s biggest anthems. The concert takes place after the 5K event at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.
If you’re not partaking in the Rock or the Roll, make sure to avoid getting stuck in road closures. Transit riders can expect delays on many routes that travel through downtown Las Vegas and the resort corridor due to the detours and increased traffic Sunday, Feb. 27, from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The RTC urges riders to allow extra time for their commute. Be sure to check out detours here and know before you go.
