Each May, we continue to bring awareness to why #MobilityMatters to those in our community who have mobility challenges such as our seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities.

According to the Center for Disease Control, more than 11% of U.S. adults have a mobility disability with serious difficultly walking or climbing stairs.

We are here to help arm you with the skills to navigate public transit and keep your mobility independence.

The RTC offers free training for senior citizens interested in using public transit. The RTC’s ‘Seniors on the GO’ program offers you everything you need to know about riding the city bus, like how to board, pay your fare and plan your trip.

Check out the RTC’s Mobility Training webpage and complete a referral form to schedule a training session for your organization or community. The RTC will come to you to conduct a group training session.

Not a senior? The RTC can still offer free mobility training sessions to teach you how to navigate public transportation.
