As the region’s Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), we have to understand the people whom we serve, as we conduct long-term planning for the region. That’s why our Southern Nevada Strong (SNS) team gathered all available public data to provide a complete picture of Clark County residents through the Southern Nevada Community Data Map.
SNS regional partners who are comprised of local entities and organizations, whose mission is to help build complete communities by integrating reliable transportation, quality housing for all income levels, and job opportunities to support long-term economic success, often refer to the Southern Nevada Community Data Map in their planning efforts.
This comprehensive tool displays key demographic data in Clark County and can help users identify socioeconomic trends from a regional perspective all the way down to the neighborhood level. This interactive map can help local governments, service providers and neighborhood organizations make data-driven decisions, such as future programming for utility placement, planning and community engagement efforts.
Users can choose a specific area of the map and find a wide range of demographic data, including population, median household income, race, age, language, poverty level, commuting preferences, housing, education attainment and health insurance status. To plan for the future, we truly need to know our community and who we’re serving.
