Who is the Southern Nevada Bicycle Coalition?
The Southern Nevada Bicycle Coalition (SNVBC) is a bicycle advocacy group that pushes for safer roadways, better trails, and more bicycling opportunities in Southern Nevada. Our goal is to create bicycle friendly communities where ALL riders have a diversity of safe riding options.
JOIN US TODAY!! By increasing membership, the SNVBC and community members can continue to influence infrastructure and legislation. Help us advocate for safer roads and trails, improved traffic laws, and continue to educate the community on how to make our roads safer for everyone. Take a look at some of our biggest campaigns below:
- Change Lanes for Bikes. It's the Law! – Change Lanes for Bikes. It's the Law!
- Ride Safe: Know Before You Go – Ride Safe: Know Before You Go
- Let's Get There Together! – Let's Get There Together!
In addition to our safety campaigns, the SNVBC, in partnership with RTC Bike Share, recently hosted a Learn to Ride clinic for adults. Individuals were educated on bike fit, maintenance, the basics of riding, and rules of the road. All participants received a free helmet, educational materials, and a bike share pass.
The next SNVBC event will be a family fun ride Saturday, May 11, at 9 a.m. This ride will be approximately 5 miles long, starting at the Clark County Government Center (500 S. Grand Central Parkway, Las Vegas, NV 89155). All abilities are welcome. You can find more information and register to ride with us at rtcsnv.com/bikemonth2024.
