We, as a community and agency, are dealing with unprecedented events. Our top priority during these uncertain times is keeping the community we serve safe, as well as our RTC staff and contractors. It’s important to share how we’re being proactive and also affected operationally by the coronavirus pandemic.
As transportation is an essential community service, we have implemented enhanced cleaning practices that includes disinfecting buses each night; providing drivers with gloves and hand sanitizer; and working with the operators and security officers to ensure their health and safety.
When it comes to transit service, we began to reduce service on the Las Vegas Strip based on demand. Beginning Thursday, March 19, we paused our Strip & Downtown Express ibecause of reduced ridership. Customers can continue to use alternative routes like the Deuce, which runs every 15-20 minutes 24 hours a day and begins and ends at the RTC’s South Strip Transit Terminal, a hub that connects to six other transit routes. Find all transit routes and schedules at rtcsnv.com.
Due to the uncertainty of the coronavirus, we are prepared to adjust our service on our residential and resort corridor routes but ensuring we communicate with our riders with as much advance notice as possible.
Stay tuned for more updates and in the meantime, check out how our buses are being thoroughly cleaned to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
