City of North Las Vegas offering COVID-19 help to residents and small businesses

Are you a City of North Las Vegas resident or a small business owner affected by the COVID-19 pandemic? The city is urging you to take advantage of its several programs providing assistance, resources and support with living expenses.

For residents

  • Economic Aid Supporting Establishments (EASE) Fund – The EASE Fund has been established by the North Las Vegas City Council to help mitigate the impact of Nevada’s three week “pause” that started Nov. 24 and requires certain types of businesses to further limit their in-person operations. A total of $750,000 has been allocated to the Fund. To apply, CLICK HERE

  • Clark County CARES Housing Assistance Program (CHAP) – While the NLVCares CHAP program application is now closed, North Las Vegas families can apply for housing assistance directly with Clark County by visiting https://chap.clarkcountynv.gov/

  • Temporary Rental and Utility Assistance (TRUA) -The City has partnered with local nonprofit agencies to offer assistance to North Las Vegas residents who are facing a housing crisis or hardship to help prevent eviction or displacement. For more information and qualifications, CLICK HERE.

  • Meal Delivery Program Services for Seniors – The City of North Las Vegas recognizes the impact senior citizens are facing due to COVID19. In response, the city’s Neighborhood & Leisure Services Department, with assistance from the Department of HUD, is providing a hot meal delivery program to North Las Vegas seniors and the medically fragile.   • Emergency Food Assistance Services – To address the impact of COVID-19 on food security in North Las Vegas, the city has partnered with Three Square Food Bank to provide emergency food assistance to North Las Vegas residents. Contact information and eligibility can be found HERE.

For businesses

  • NLVCares Small Business Assistance Grant – available to small businesses based in North Las Vegas that have suffered financial strain due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible expenses include payroll, rent/mortgage, utility bills, inventory, PPE, and expenses related to retrofitting in order to comply with social distancing and other health guidelines.   • Small Business Stabilization Forgivable Loan – The City of North Las Vegas (CNLV) recognizes the need to support small businesses that are struggling to access capital and keep their doors open in response to COVID-19.  The CNLV Small Business Stabilization Forgivable Loan (CNLV-SBSFL) Program provides loans of up to $25,000 at zero interest in an effort to mitigate losses experienced by our small business community. This amount may be adjusted to provide immediate assistance to as many small businesses as possible. To apply, CLICK HERE.
