On July 26, we will celebrate the 31st anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, and transportation. The ADA provides people with disabilities the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. As part of the ADA, the RTC provides paratransit services to certified customers. One of those customers is Raquel O’Neill, an extraordinary woman who provides training to individual experiencing vision loss or as she calls it: the blind training the blind.
