Whether it’s deep dish, thin crust, gluten-free or something in between, pizza tops the list of favorite meals or snack.  Did you know, more than three billion pizzas are sold in the U.S. each year?  On average, that’s 23 pounds of pizza per person annually!

So if you love pizza, then grab a slice or share a pie to celebrate National Pizza Day on February 9. Here are a few pizzerias to check out on these RTC bus routes.

Downtown Las Vegas via routes 206 or BHX

Yukon Pizza in the Vegas Test Kitchen excels at Neapolitan-style wood-fired pies made from a 120-year-old heirloom sourdough starter. Or when you want a greasy, gooey slice of bar pizza dripping with mozzarella it’s Nevada Brew Works. You can grab a Brooklyn-style slice from the walk-up window at Good Pie for bite while wandering around the Arts District.

Chinatown via route 203

The Sand Dollar Lounge offers artisan pizzas like “Champagne & Reefer” (neither ingredient included) pie with house-made red sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, pecorino romano, red onion, cup and char pepperoni, fennel salami, artichoke hearts, black olives, fresh oregano, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil.

Downtown Summerlin via route 206

Modeled after the original New York Style Pizzerias with treasured family recipes, Bonanno’s New York Pizzeria features hand tossed brick-oven pizza made with the highest quality flour, fresh yeast and all natural ingredients.

Henderson via routes 111 or BHX

Shopping can work up an appetite so plan a stop at Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana in The District at Green Valley Ranch for authentic Neapolitan wood-fired pizzas made with imported ingredients. Or head to the Water Street District for Water Street Pizzeria’s famous heart shaped pizza.
