Excitement is in the air as Las Vegas hosts its first-ever Super Bowl, and we want to make sure you're prepared for an action-packed commute! With festivities centered around the stadium, we anticipate increased traffic, detours, and delays in the area. Overall, plan for additional travel time if you’ll be in the vicinity before, on, and after game day.
Here's what you need to know to make the most of your commute this week:
Road and Lane Closures: Multiple road and lane closures are in effect in the area from Super Bowl-related activities and other construction projects. Find the latest on the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee’s website.
Stadium Area Delays and Detours: If you’re taking public transit near the stadium, Route 104 (Valley View) will detour on Sunday, Feb. 11 from approximately 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Harry Reid International Airport Adjustments: Due to the anticipated influx of visitors arriving by air, Route 108 (Paradise), Route 109 (Maryland Parkway), and the CX (Centennial Express) are detoured from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 at Harry Reid International Airport, from now until Wednesday, Feb. 14. Use the inter-terminal shuttle to get to Terminal 1.
Plan Ahead and Stay Connected: Arrive at stations a bit earlier, and make the most of this unforgettable weekend. For real-time updates, service alerts, and route information, download our official app, rideRTC, or visit the RTC Alerts and Detours webpage.
Whether you’re traveling by foot, bike, bus or car, be sure to allot yourself extra travel time. Check real-time updates on the rideRTC or Transit apps for the latest information on route changes.
Let's make this weekend a touchdown for our great city!
