Are Southern Nevada’s HOV lanes working for you?

2024-12-03T09:08:29-08:00| Categories: Planning / Projects|

Curious about how HOV lanes affect your commute in Southern Nevada? The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) wants your input.

In April 2023, NDOT changed the HOV lane hours to only be active during peak times – 6-8 a.m. and 4-6 p.m. on weekdays. Now, NDOT is conducting a survey to see how these lanes are being used and whether they’re helping carpoolers and transit users enjoy faster, smoother trips.

Your feedback will play a crucial role as we evaluate how well the HOV lanes meet their original goals: maximizing highway capacity and providing reliable travel times. This study will also consider crash data and environmental impacts, all to improve your commute and enhance Southern Nevada’s transportation future.

Take the quick, 5-minute survey by Friday, December 13, to make your voice heard. Visit dot.nv.gov/HOVStudy to participate!
