While our community continues to combat COVID-19, we want to remind our riders to continue to stay safe and wear a mask. In addition to the state mandate, it is now a federal mandate to wear a face mask that covers both the nose and mouth when using our transit service and entering RTC property.
Requiring face masks when onboard our vehicles and entering our facilities is not a new policy for the RTC, but we have made a few adjustments for the safety of our riders and drivers:
- Masks with slits/holes, scarves, handkerchiefs, ski masks and bandanas are no longer approved forms of face coverings.
- Face masks must contain at least two layers of fabric, per CDC and federal mandate guidelines.
- Riders ages two or older are now required to wear face masks.
Since the pandemic began, the RTC has spent $14 million to support and promote the safety of our drivers and riders through enhanced cleanings, driver enclosures and much more. We’ve also distributed over 9,000 masks to riders in need.
Stay safe, Southern Nevada!
